January 22, 2010 Mr. Wertheim said that “Dr. Finley has already provided significant leadership contributions for the Company’s performance and we are pleased that he will join us on the Burtek Board of Directors and be the President & CEO of Burtek.&rdquo Dr. Finley has over 30 years of Aerospace & Defense Industry experience and most recently served three years as the US Department of Defense (DoD) Deputy Undersecretary for Acquisition and Technology. In that role, he was Senate-Confirmed and responsible for the governance and oversight for Program Management, Systems Engineering, Procurement, Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, Small Business Programs, Industrial Policy, the Defense Acquisition University, the Defense Contracting Management Agency and Joint Advanced Concepts. His experience spans air, land, sea and space programs for the DoD as well as major programs with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Prior to DoD, he was a General Dynamics Corporate Vice President, President of Information Systems and chaired the Corporate Business Development Council. Previous executive and management positions were held with United Technologies, Singer, Lear Siegler and General Electric. Dr. Finley and his wife, Sharon, will be relocating to Michigan in the near future and have six children and five grand children Dr. Finley’s education background includes an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering, an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He also has received numerous leadership awards and recognition including the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the Small Business Administration Tibbett’s Award for “outstanding contributions” in innovative research and the National Defense Industrial Association’s Ferguson Award for “systems engineering excellence”.
